About Ag Safari

Ag Safari is a new storytelling venture from Tech Safari, created in partnership with GIZ’s SAIS program (Scaling Digital Agriculture Innovations through Startups).

Together, we’re mapping the people, products, and ideas transforming Africa’s agriculture sector.

For years, Tech Safari has told stories about Africa’s tech ecosystem, the startups, builders, and dreamers shaping the continent’s digital future.

But the deeper we went, the more we found the real innovation happening on the ground, on farms, in supply chains, and across food systems.

Africa holds 60% of the world’s unused arable land, abundant sunlight, and a workforce where 6 in 10 people work in agriculture. Yet millions still go hungry.

The problem isn’t potential, it’s inefficiency, visibility, and access.

Ag Safari exists to change that.

Every week, with Ag Safari, we will uncover the stories and solutions reshaping African agriculture from solar-powered irrigation to AI-driven weather forecasting, value-chain digitization, sustainable practices, and the startups building a new green economy.

Our mission, powered by the Tech Safari x SAIS partnership, is to make African agriculture visible, engaging, and investable. By telling these stories, we aim to unlock the continent’s most valuable asset: its ability to feed itself and the world.

So whether you’re a founder, policymaker, investor, or just curious about Africa’s food future, Ag Safari is your front-row seat to the innovations redefining what’s possible.

📬 Subscribe to Ag Safari, and join us as we explore the ideas cultivating Africa’s next growth frontier.
