About Ag Safari

Ag Safari is a project from Tech Safari, created with GIZ’s SAIS program (Scaling Digital Agriculture Innovations through Startups).

We’re shining a light on the people, ideas, and products changing how Africa grows its food.

Tech Safari has always told stories about Africa’s tech ecosystem, the startups and innovators shaping the continent’s future. But we’ve seen that some of the biggest breakthroughs are happening on farms, in food systems, and across supply chains.

Africa has 60% of the world’s unused farmland and a workforce where most people work in agriculture, yet millions still go hungry. The problem isn’t potential, it’s visibility, access, and efficiency. Ag Safari wants to fix that.

Every week, we’ll share stories about the tools and startups transforming African agriculture, from solar-powered irrigation to AI weather tools and sustainable farming.

Our goal, with Tech Safari x SAIS, is to make African agriculture visible, inspiring, and investable, and show how the continent can feed itself and the world.

📬 Subscribe to Ag Safari and discover the innovations growing Africa’s next big opportunity.
